Prior to founding Fridman Law Group in 2004, Iliya was an associate at DeForest & Duer (now a part of Anderson Kill & Olick) where he worked on a wide array of complex legal issues facing technology and new media companies, including venture capital transactions and intellectual property protection and licensing. Admitted to the New York bar in 1999, Iliya is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Iliya earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Connecticut College and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Born and raised in Moscow, Iliya is fluent in Russian.
Jessica is a Partner at Fridman Law Group. She graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as an Editor on the Brooklyn Law Review. She was also a member of the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy Clinic (BLIP), a full-service, pro bono program providing legal counsel to entrepreneurs involved in creative and non-profit endeavors. She advises on corporate structuring for early-stage startup ventures, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital transactions, trademark and Internet compliance. She has a particular soft spot for socially conscious companies (with sustainable fashion in particular) and women-owned businesses.
Ona is an Associate at Fridman Law Group. Prior to joining Fridman Law Group, she assisted low-income artists with arts-related legal issues as a Legal Fellow at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA), and was a summer intern at Rent the Runway. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School with a concentration in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law. She was also a member of the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy (BLIP) Clinic, where she worked with technology startups and entrepreneurs on a variety of intellectual property and corporate matters. She received her B.A. from New York University.
Samantha is an Associate at Fridman Law Group. Prior to joining Fridman Law Group, she worked as the Manager of Business & Legal Affairs at a creative agency based in Brooklyn. Samantha received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as Executive Notes & Comments Editor of the _Brooklyn Journal of International Law_ and published an article titled: Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité?: United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Fails to Protect Hopi Katsinam From the Auction Block in France. She received her B.A. from Fordham University.
Jacqueline is a Law Clerk at Fridman Law Group. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as the program coordinator for the New York Fashion Tech Lab, and was a research assistant for the Fashion Law Institute. Jacqueline received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as the Senior Writing & Research Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, and published an Article titled: The Need for “Supreme” Clarity: Clothing, Copyright, and Conceptual Separability. Jacqueline received her B.A. in Business Economics and French from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
